Thank you so much to @renderhealth for providing these guidelines for safe travel and gathering amidst a pandemic. Family is so important to me (as is travel), so I want to make sure I am spending time with them in the safest way possible as the holidays approach. Happy reading!
1. When in doubt , Stay home
To minimize the spread and risk of infection of COVID 19 , stay home if you are feeling unwell especially if you notice those symptoms are similar to that of COVID 19. This is according to guidelines from CDC to contain the risk of infection.
2. Try a new a traveling Method
Road trips are arguably the safest way to travel during this time. Driving involves the least amount of required contact with other people and can ensure you and your party remain more in control of the safety precautions taken, especially if you’re using your own car.
3. Plan an outdoor rather than indoor party
The risk of transmitting covid19 is higher indoors, especially in confined space where people may not be wearing mask or keep their distance from others. Hence, it is preferable to host events outdoor or choose well- ventilated indoor area. You can also opt for a virtual party (try something new!), get on facetime with your friends and family and have a meal together. It will make a memorable meal ever!
4. Don’t invite many people
Minimize crowding by staggering arrivals and departure, designate seat places at least one meter apart, number entries and marking the floor.
5. Pack a COVID-19 safety kit
Wear a NOSE MASK!, this can never be overemphasized. Sanitize- Pack a hand sanitizer or bacteria- killing wipes in case you can’t get to a sink to wash your hands.
